When to use Mepilex Border Flex
You can use Mepilex Border Flex for a wide range of exuding wounds such as pressure ulcers, leg and foot ulcers, and traumatic wounds such as skin tears and surgical wounds. Plus it can be used on dry and or necrotic wounds in combination with gels.

Mepilex Border Flex can be used for up to 7 days
Mölnlycke’s Mepilex® Border Flex range of dressings have up to 7 day wear time, smart exudate management that balances exudate absorption and breathability, and an Exudate Progress Monitor that give you and your patients the confidence to leave the dressing in place 1 2 3 .

How Exudate Progress Monitor works
Leaving wounds undisturbed can help healing. The Exudate Progress Monitor gives you the confidence to leave the dressing in place for longer 3 . Please see the user guide for additional usage and application guidance.

The Exudate Progress Monitor is a grid of equidistant dots.

e.g. 4×4 cm
As exudate spreads you can record a dot count that reflects exudate volume in the dressing.

e.g. 8×10 cm
You can then refer to the recorded dot count to help monitor exudate trends.

e.g. 10 x 14cm
Consider dressing change when exudate is approaching the borders of the dressing.*

* Wound inspection and dressing change frequencies are driven by clinical decision and should be at the discretion of the treating clinician
